Durante la Invasión a Francia, cientos de Tanques Franceses capturados y
algunos fueron convertidos a las versiones Geschutzwagen, 48 de éstas artillerías
autopropulsadas fueron producidas utilizando el chasis del Hotchkiss H-39
montándoles un cañón de 10.5cm 18/40 Howitzer. Ese tipo de cañón poseía
particularmente buen poder de fuego con un rango de tiro de 6 a 8 disparos por
minuto protegido por una cabina descubierta.
Este vehículo representa al 21 División Panzer-Sturmgeschutz Abteilung 200 y la
8a, Artillería del Batallón Panzer del Regimiento 125 bajo las órdenes del Mayor
Becker quién comandó parte del Frente de Normandía en Francia, 1944.

During the invasion of France, hundreds of French Tanks were captured.
Regarding the Geschutzwagen, 48 of thes self-propelled guns were produced
utilising the chassis of French Hotchkiss H-39 tanks married with a 10.5cm 18/40
Howitzer. Tha type of gun was particulary powerful with a range of dozen km. and a
rate of fire of between 6 and 8 rounds per minute, protected by an armoured cockpit.
This vehicle become represented as part of the 21st Panzer Division -
Sturmgeschutz Abteilung 200 and the 8th Panzerartillerie Abteilung / Pz.Art.Rgt. 125
under the Major Becker Command in the combats in Normandy, France 1944.
